House Rules - Tourists

(from June 24 to September 24)

DEAR GUESTS!

Welcome to the Student Dormitory Portorož GEPŠ Hostel.

Thank you for choosing us for your stay. We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable and carefree as possible.

Below, we would like to inform you about the house rules and provide essential information for your stay with us. Please respect the house rules, all signs, and staff instructions.

For any questions, you can contact us at the reception. We will be happy to receive your feedback.

 

CHECK IN – CHECK OUT

Check-in is possible between 3 PM and 8 PM. Upon arrival at the hostel, please register with a valid ID at the reception.
Overnight stays for unregistered persons are strictly prohibited and illegal.

If you do not check in by 8 PM and have not informed us in advance of a later arrival, the room may be given to another guest. In the case of a late arrival, we will offer a room only within available capacities.

On the day of departure, please leave the room, check out, and settle your obligations by 10 AM at the reception.

We do not accept guests on Sundays.

We reserve the right to charge up to 100% of the total amount for ordered but unused services in case of early departure.

We will try to accommodate your wishes, but room availability is limited.

 

TYPES OF ACCOMMODATION

•    Simple dormitory rooms (single, double, and triple) with a shared bathroom (two rooms or four people share one bathroom)
•    Single and double rooms with private bathrooms
•    Double and quadruple apartments

Only one person can stay in a single room, two people in a double apartment, and a maximum four people in a quadruple apartment.

 

MEALS

•    Self-service breakfast from 7 AM to 9 AM
•    Lunch from 12 PM to 2 PM (only if there is enough demand, please inquire at the reception)
•    Dinner from 7 PM to 8 PM (only if there is enough demand, please inquire at the reception)

Breakfast is included in the room price.
It is not allowed to take food, dishes, and utensils out of the restaurant.

 

QUIET HOURS

From 10 PM to 6 AM, it is not allowed to disturb the peace with noisy behavior, so we ask for your consideration. In case of noise, please contact the security guard at the reception.

 

CARE FOR BELONGINGS

We are not responsible for money, valuables, and other belongings of the guests.

 

PAYMENT

You can settle the bill for your stay and other expenses at the reception every day from 7 AM to 10 AM. You can pay the bill with cash or preferably with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro).

 

PRICE LIST and SURCHARGES

Upon arrival, please first register with a valid ID at the reception; overnight stays for unregistered persons are punishable. A valid document must also be presented for each child upon registration. The child's age is determined by the age on the day the service begins, not the age on the day of booking.

We do not accept minors without the accompaniment of a responsible adult.

If a guest wishes to extend their stay, they must inform us one day before the agreed departure, by 6 PM.

If a guest occupies a room and then leaves without spending the night, they will be charged the full night rate.

If, due to our arrangement, two people stay in a quadruple apartment, the night is charged as a double apartment or, for example, if one person stays in a double room, the night is charged as a single room.

The price list of all services and surcharges is published on the website and posted at the reception.

We reserve the right to change the price list.

 

TOURIST TAX

We charge the tourist tax to those who are required to pay it according to the Decree on Tourist Tax in the Municipality of Piran. Exemption from the tourist tax is considered upon presenting the appropriate evidence before registration at the reception.

 

KEYS

Report and settle the loss of a key, chip, or parking remote at the reception.

 

PARKING

We have our own parking lot, which operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not possible.

 

LAUNDRY

You also have the option to use the laundry. Tokens for the washing machine or dryer can be purchased at the reception.

 

EQUIPMENT OF APARTMENTS AND ROOMS

Bed linen is included in the room price.

Rooms and apartments with private bathrooms also have a refrigerator with a freezer, and the apartments have a kitchen with a stove.

Towels, soap, dishes, cutlery, and other kitchen and bathroom accessories are NOT provided, so we advise you to bring your own.

There is no television in any room, but free wireless connection is available.

 

FORGOTTEN ITEMS

Forgotten or found items are kept at the reception until the end of the current season (September 30). After this period, forgotten items are handled according to current regulations. Forgotten items are sent by mail exclusively at your request and expense.

 

DAMAGE AND MOVING FURNITURE

Please do not take inventory out of the room or hostel and DO NOT move or relocate furniture. The guest is responsible for damage caused by their fault or the fault of those they are responsible for. Damage to the inventory depends on the type of damage and is charged accordingly.

 

REPAIRS

Please report any malfunctions in the room immediately to the reception. Our maintenance staff will do their best to fix the malfunction as soon as possible.

 

SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all our premises. Smoking is only allowed outside, but not in front of the hostel entrance. In case of non-compliance with the relevant legislation of the Republic of Slovenia, we will be forced to take appropriate measures and charge you for such behavior according to our price list.

 

CLEANLINESS

Please be as careful as possible with the things you use. If you need additional cleaning, inform us the day before.

 

FIRE SAFETY AND SECURITY

Emergency exit signs, evacuation routes, and fire extinguishers are displayed in individual fire sectors. Follow the fire safety instructions and staff directions. The use of heating or cooking appliances in the rooms is not allowed. The introduction of flammable or explosive substances or substances with an unpleasant odor is strictly prohibited.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND HEALTH CARE

During your stay in the hostel, please take care of the rational use of water, elevators, air conditioners, windows, and electricity.
For example, when you have a window open, turn off the air conditioner; if bad weather is forecast, close the windows and lower the blinds completely before leaving the hostel; with every step you take, you are taking care of your cardio training...
We also ask that you be dressed in common areas and do not walk around in swimsuits.

ENFORCEMENT OF HOUSE RULES AND VIOLATIONS

Compliance with the house rules is monitored by the hostel staff and the cleaning service. They have the right to check its implementation at any time in all areas without prior guest permission.
In case of violations of the house rules, measures are taken: entry prohibition, removal from the hostel’s external and internal areas, temporary confiscation of substances or items, and compensation for the damage caused.

 

FAMILIARITY WITH HOUSE RULES

By confirming the reservation or registering at the hostel, it is understood that you are familiar with the house rules, agree with them, and will abide by them.
We reserve the right to change the house rules (in case of special events).
